Ege Madencilik A.Ş. (Ege Mining Inc.) is a Brightwell Holdings investment in the energy sector.

On June 5, 2007, Ege Madencilik won the privatisation tender held by the Turkey Coal Operations Administration for the 49-year operating rights of a 1763 hectare Bengiler Mineral Field in the Balikesir-Balya Region.

The determination of reserves in the area will be completed in early 2008. In addition to 3,800- 4,000 kCal heating quality lignite coal, reserves of copper, lead, and iron ore were found in the fields.

On January 15, 2008, Ege Madencilik won the privatisation tender held by the Turkey Coal Operations Administration for the 49-year operating rights to 563 and 370 hectares Aydıncık Dualar Mineral Field in the Manisa-Soma Region.

Ege Madencilik acquired the operating rights of two fields of 1588 and 548 hectares in Çanakkale-Çırpılar region in March 2009.

Ege Madencilik is continuing exploration in its fields and has currently identified reserves of 100 millions of lignite coal.
